Following an exciting UK Parliamentary Week, which included a visit by Vicky Ford MP and our very own mock elections, our Sixth Form students headed to our mock polling station last Thursday to vote for one of the four parties up for election.

It was a great turn out with 205 votes cast, with a majority of six tutor groups needed for a Government to be formed! 

Following a tense count, the final result was a LABOUR/GREEN coalition and congratulations to Lois and Callum on their persuasive arguments that gained them the required votes.

The week provided an amazing opportunity to understand the priorities of our local MP at a local, national and international level and to take politics beyond the classroom.
